In this series we will be challenged to pursue holiness, love one another deeply, and live in a way that honors Christ before a watching world, while reminding us of the hope we have in the return of Christ.

Are you interested in helping with set construction for VBS?

We’ll be doing most of the set construction the week before VBS to minimize the work for the final setup on the Sunday before VBS. We’ll also start a few things in the next couple of weeks to speed up construction.

Sermon - 1 Thessalonians 2 -

How should I respond to people talking about me?
I need to ask God to examine my life.
God has given us the bible as a sacred trust.

Sermon Thoughts:

Live in a way that your life speaks louder than their criticism.

When falsely criticized don’t stoop to their level. Take the high road.

I don’t need everyone’s approval—I only need to please God.

Don’t let unfair criticism consume you. We worry way too much about what other people think. I don’t have to answer for someone else does. I only have to answer for me.

People only have the power in my life to hurt me that I give them. God knows my heart and that’s all that really matters.

When I ask God to examine my heart, I ask God to reveal things I can’t see in myself so I can correct them.
